Anything Study Week 7 - Thursday

Read James 1:2-8

SOAP James 1:2-4

Perhaps I can immediately take a step back from my burden and say, "God, are you allowing a chance for my faith to grow?"  How can I walk away from each negative situation with a positive internal response. Anything that forces more prayer to occur draws us closer to God.

  1. Good Morning Girls

I am being refined in my trials and I am to rejoice in my affliction knowing that it will prove good for my benefit and that I will be perfected by the refiner’s fire. I know, that’s a hard pill to swallow, but necessary for completion as a believer and everything in my humanness cries out NO!!! I don’t want trials, but my spiritual man says, “wait upon the Lord” so then I wait for deliverance and a new understanding . Nobody likes going through difficulty but we will never know our strengths until they are put to the test, and sometimes we fail them and then God gives us another chance to grow until we are completed and perfected in Him.

  2. Verse 6 stuck out to me this morning, "...for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind." As we go through trials in this life, our faith in God is can keep us strong. It is the one thing we can rely on knowing that God is not just watching us, but he is right there with us. I believe God is warning us in this verse. To stay strong in the faith even when things are looking bad. Doubts will weaken us.
