Our soap today shows God calling for the nation of Israel to seek God’s face, to pray and repent of their sins and He would forgive all the transgressions that they had committed against Him and He would heal their lands. My heart’s desire would be this for our nation which has become vile and corrupt with its own serve ungodliness. So, verse 14 is a national call to repentance and verse 17 is my call to obey God to walk in His ways, to keep His commandments and not follow the meagerly things of the world that will soon pass quickly. Heaven is worth giving up “anything” that will take us from serving God, especially things that kept us so busy that at the end of the day we are too tired to give God much more than a quick thank you and then nod off to sleep. May my life be a reflection of you Jesus and not of the things I have gathered down here.
