SOAP John 17:15-17
God's Word is truth and Jesus says God will sanctify us in the truth. This phrase implies that staying in God's Word brings about sanctification. We can't cling to a truth that we don't know. Let us actively seek understanding for God's Word, thereby becoming sanctified daily.

ReplyDeleteWe live in a world today that’s got the ME factor going on, I’m first and forget the rest. Thankful Jesus didn't think that way and He prayed the Father would protect all those that would follow Him for ages to come. We are not of this world but it’s certain we are in the world, not to be a silent bubble wrapped Christian but to go out into the world and win the lost to Christ. If my life is not reflecting Jesus and people can’t tell me from Joe down at the local bar, then what good am I?

ReplyDeleteAmazing how things have not changed. People tend to take God's word and twist it into their view. Tonight in class, we spoke of the trinity. Religions who read even read the Bible twist it or do not even believe it. There are those that picket funerals in the name of God. Instead of taking the Bible and changing their own behavior...they change the Bible to fit them. God's word stands on it's own and some day they will realize that.
