  1. Jesus was illustrating that as believers we must act differently from sinners. As the song says, SO LONG SELF!!!!! Once we love our enemies, do good to them, and put others first then we can say we are acting like children of the most HIGH. Boy does this hit me where it hurts. Lord, help me to love my enemies, pray for them and put others first. This is a tall order but I know that the Lord can work great things thru me.

  2. Good Morning Girls
At the heart of mercy you will find the never ending love of God. Not just any love but Agape love, the truest form of love, God‘s love for all the world. Despite the eternal damnation which we deserve because of selfishness, our pride and our sin, God still extends mercy to His people by giving us eternal life in His Son, Jesus Christ. A lot of people (including me at one time) are like the Pharisee, who stands and boast of all the good they can offer. “Look at me, I am highly favor, I am not as others are, I am an achiever and you can be this way too, just do as I say and not how I do.” I found one day that I know longer wanted to be that kind church person, lost in my own thoughts of justification, dying and quickly approaching the torments of hell.
Just because a person graces the door of a church does not give them entrance into Heaven. I would like to say I have achieved all these things in our soap scriptures today but honestly I am lacking but thankful God looks at the heart of man. For the true church of Jesus Christ is filled with real people with real problems and things don’t just mysteriously disappear when you get saved, but I am on a daily dose of dying to my flesh and becoming more like Him and less of me.

I am thankful to know that God’s kingdom is a place for all those who have ask for forgiveness, but it is so much more; it is also a lifestyle here on this earth to where I can achieve more than I am defeated because Christ is with me.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed before the king of Assyria and all the horde that is with him, for there are more with us than with him. With him is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people took confidence from the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. 2 Chron 32:7-8

  3. that's a tall order. verse 32 hits me today: "For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them." It is so easy to love those that are kind to you. It's those that get under your skin and drive you crazy. And not only just put up with them and be kind, but to love them. I know this is only possible with God's help.
