Week 7_Monday

Good Morning Girls

Read Luke 15:1-7  SOAP Luke 15:7

Jesus left the ninety-nine sheep to find the one that was lost.  I think this models the focus for the sheep in the church.  They must focus on reaching the lost, not stay within the comfort of the fold. The Pharisees were critical of Jesus' socialization with sinners, but he did this for a specific purpose.  When we find ourselves spending time with sinners - may we always focus on the intention.  We intend to win them to Christ.  That goal will drive conversations and activities in a very different direction.

  1. I can remember times of no peace, only times of fear that I walked in. I knew no other life other than those torments filled with violence growing up and then in my teens turning to drugs and alcohol. Bitterness came quickly and I lived in I will hurt you before you can hurt me type of lifestyle. Anyone who knew me then can testify to that very truth and can now look at my life say that Jesus is capable of totally transforming. I say all this as a testimony of God great love He has for all His children regardless of culture or status I was just a dirty face farm kid and who was I that He should come and find me? But He did and when Jesus came into my life I found the only peace I had ever known and through many different situations, I have learned to trust Him and forgive others. There are many voices in the world and we are to make sure that people hear the right one and that voice is the gentle voice of God calling all sinners to come and have life and peace as He gave me.

There is a song from Selah that says “You are my hiding place, You always fill my heart, With songs of deliverance, Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You, I will trust in You, Let the weak say, I am strong, In the strength of the Lord”. Other people need to know that peace, why would I not want them to have that and if I as a Christian doesn’t, then who will?
