Anything Study - Week 1 Tuesday

Read I John 1:5-10

SOAP I John 1:8

Walking in the light versus walking in the darkness.  We all need Christ and His saving grace.  As I sat talking to an unwed mother yesterday, it hit me clearly - I need God's grace just as much as she does.  If I say I have no sin, I deceive myself.  Trite as it may be, the ground certainly is level at the foot of the cross.  When we start seeing people through Jesus' eyes, we will see our own needs more clearly.  By God's grace, he has saved me from destruction.  I must pass this love and redemption along to someone else who desperately needs it.

  1. As I was reading the verses this morning, our walk with God is what jumped out at me. That is an important part in recognizing when we sin. As our walk with God is close, it is easier know when we sin. Those times in our lives when our walk is not as close to God, little sins can slip in so much easier. God is always there to love and forgive us. We just need to recognize our own sin and not just look at other people's sin.

  2. Great thoughts, Jen! We definitely need to maintain our walk with God. By the way, would you like me to print you out a manual for this study or are you already set up? I have been making books for ladies that include the study guide, reading plan, and prayer journal. Just let me know - I'd be happy to!
