Anything Study - Week 2 Monday

Read Psalm 118

SOAP Psalm 118:6

Fear seems almost absurd when I think about God fighting for me.  When we release our battles to him, we don't have to do the fighting.  It also ocurred to me that His Word is full of promises.  Promises that replace fear.  I should spend more time familiarizing myself with these promises.

  1. This is a beautiful promise of God's love for us. In verse 14 it says, "The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation." It reminds me of the Casting Crowns song, I will praise you in this storm. I love these lyrics, "For you are who you are, no matter where I am." God's love is always there. Our circumstances may change but His love and protection are always with us. What more could we ask for?

  2. Good Morning Girls

Well if that whole chapter doesn't make you feel happy as a new creature in Christ, then nothing will. How wonderful it is to have God loves us so much that He created all these blessings just for His Children. I need to see the truth that God is for me, so who can be against me. I struggle sometimes, (ok most of the time) in giving God complete control in my life. I always want to but there is always a small piece of me that always looks at the “what if”. Reading this chapter just blessed my whole day and I am thankful for His love that does endure through all my faults and I am pressing toward that point that I can learn to trust God more and my abilities less.

  3. As I read Psalms 118 I just about levitated off the couch. He is so GOOD!!!! He sets me free, gives me victory, he is for me, and will help me. HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. It boggles my mind that he always loves me. I am so unworthy. I praise him that he gives me strength and is my song. Such wonderful scripture today.
