SOAP Hosea 1:7
God was jealous for Israel because she had forsaken Him for false gods. Hosea's life would become a mirror of God's feelings for Israel. God loves us the very same way in that He will not settle for a divided love. He doesn't want to be one of many loves; He wants to be our one and only. Infidelity breaks His heart and drives Him to call us back to the relationship we were designed to have with him. Father, help me understand how exclusive my love must be for you and prevent any encroachment.

ReplyDeleteIt gets so easy to trust in things of this life on a daily basis. If there ever was a time we needed to study and know God’s Word it would be today. With so much tragic events taking place, people need something to hold onto, something to believe in other than the weak image of man. Mankind had managed to destroy almost everything that God has placed in our care, except His Word. That’s because He is in control and thankfully not man.
I was raised pretty much taking care of myself as kid with a single Mom that worked 2 jobs to provide for her family and after giving my life to Jesus I found the most difficult point was trusting in Him and waiting for His answers. And like I said yesterday I am still a work in progress with many failures but I am striving to be a greater disciple. And I want to reach others to bring them to His kingdom and I know I am not to stop working until He tells me to. Our Soap today shows us that God always has mercy on His people and we must always trust Him to provide for our care not the abilities or man.
