Anything Study - Week 1 Friday

Read Romans 3:21-31

SOAP Romans 3:23

This passage is special to me since our latest kids musical was about the Romans Road.  This week's SOAP scriptures all coincide in the truth that salvation is not achieved by us.  No one can ever be good enough or keep all the rules enough to earn it.  Our best efforts just simply "fall short" of God's perfect holiness.  But the hopeful part of this passage is that there is no discrimination between different people; all can receive salvation.  I can't boast in myself or my works because it still isn't enough to earn salvation.  The sinner who has continuously lived in depravity cannot despair because salvation is still offered to him, despite the gross sin he may have committed.  We are all equal when it comes to receiving salvation.  Praise God!

  1. Good Morning Girls

It is verses such as these they give hope to lost that Christ came for damaged souls and comfort to the saved, who need to be reminded that none of us are perfected yet. I think people who don’t know the Lord, want to see the real deal, people who are living their faith. Maybe they just want someone they can relate to, not a pious I am better than you, been baptized in pickle juice “Christian” (and that term is used loosely here). Listen, people need to know that we are all in the same boat rowing against the angry waves of this life; the difference is that we have Jesus and He is the anchor that will keep us from capsizing.

I taught in my PC preteen class that there are billions of people lost in false religions and the saddest part is that there are supposed to be more Christians in the world than anything else. Something is definitely missing here. We need to get with it and get out there and begin saving the lost. If we don’t who will? I am praying as I go on an upcoming mission trip that from the time I put my foot outside of my door that I can be used to reach lost souls. I am making it my daily prayer that the Lord would use me to free others from sin and let their lives begin with Him. I know all He needs are the willing and like our discussion questions I want to be like Isaiah (remember He got sawed into for his faith, so think hard about it) who step forward and said “I will go Lord, send me”.
