SOAP Romans 6:6-7
Sin enslaves people. You can see this clearly in the eyes of broken people. The deception of sin sadly blinds their eyes, convincing them that they are under control. Salvation calls us to die to those sinful desires. Instead of living for our own fulfillment, we now live to please God. Father, when I am tempted to go back to sin, help me remember that I put that to death to gain life in You.
Good Morning Girls!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are many of us who call ourselves Christians yet never forsake the desires of the flesh. Some desires are not bad to have, say your desire for you husband is not wrong but a desire for another’s is. Desire for a certain type of food or drink isn't wrong either unless it becomes gluttonous and begins to destroy you. I think you see the difference without any more examples and the sin which we did before coming to Christ should no longer be allowed in our lives. God wants my obedience to Him, by forsaking everything else in my life and following Him. Repentance is for today, for everyone, and if there is something in our lives that we know should not be then we need to overcome it quickly. I am glad I am able to study God’s word every day and find a way to apply it to my life and my hope is that I can lead others to Him and multiply His kingdom. That I might become an example to a younger generation that is lost and dying and searching for answers. Lord I pray I am never NORMAL, that I live and breathe you so that others would see you and then the person I desire to be.
