Good Morning Girls
Read Luke 9:10-20 SOAP Luke 9:16-17
I wonder if Jesus was challenging the disciples here to act first in faith. Verse 13 says, "But he said to them, 'You give them something to eat.'" Perhaps Jesus was waiting for them to do something, believing God would miraculously provide. Often times, we hold back, thinking that whatever we have to give is too small for the need. But God has a way of multiplying the offering! Jesus was not bound by earthly laws. He was able to multiply one lunch into more than enough. Certainly, He can handle anything life throws at us.

ReplyDeleteWe have to look close at an event that was recorded in all 4 gospels, if it was put out that many times there must be some type of great significance for His children to grasp. I can’t help but to get excited when the bible starts quoting numbers. We can do some simple math and know that 5+2=7 and that biblical number equals perfection. Then there is the number twelve and that represents the church and Israel. And there is the feeding of the 5,000 men, but we know that at least there had to be 20,000 there counting the women and children that required something above and beyond what could normally be done.
Whew!!! What does all this say? Simply that the Lord Jesus takes care of all my needs beyond anything I could ask for. That He blessed the food and sent it out to be consumed as our example of working in the Kingdom and that we are to trust and be filled by the promises of God. Everything Jesus did in the bible had a great impact on those around Him and isn’t that supposed to be my mission also? To reach out, to impact, to change the world we live in and to help those who cannot help themselves. Lord allow me to serve you in this way, thank you for dying on the Cross that I now have eternal life with you. Change me into that servant that would serve your kingdom the best and let Your will become mine.
