Week 2_Monday

Good Morning Girls

Read Luke 10:1-7  SOAP Luke 10:2-3

This send-off from Jesus sounds more like a warning than a pep talk!  Working in God's harvest is not for the fainthearted.  Sometimes we will be rejected or scorned.  Sometimes the gospel will fall upon ears who don't want to receive it.  We just have to shake the dust off and move on to those who will hear.  I pray that God will "toughen me up" so that I don't get discouraged in the ministry.  Like Christ, we will face untold struggles when dealing with unrepentant hearts.  Keep the faith!

    1. We are mirrors of God when we reach out to help others and show them kindness. No person who calls themselves a Christian should ever feel excused. Many will say I am too busy with my own life, I have children and a home to take care of, or my career consumes my time. But Jesus said when you help those who are less fortunate, when you feed and clothe the poor, when you give a drink to those in need, then you are taking care of Him (Matthew 25:35-40).
This is where our soap comes in for when we are doing the things He has said then we are obeying and doing kingdom work. There are so many out there who need the redeeming power of Jesus Christ in their lives and the Lord has sent His church out into the world to do just that. I pray my busy life doesn’t get in the way of His work and if it does I also pray He shows me so I can change it quickly and get back to work for Him. There are times when someone will speak untruth against me or my family and I get very distracted by that but I remember something that John MacArthur said one day in a closing prayer from a sermon “Save us from the stupidity of the things that doesn’t matter” and it helped me so much that I wrote it down on a post it note and placed it above my desk so I would see it often and remember my work for and that some things are place in front of us to distract us and I need to get back to His business of saving the lost.
