Week 2_Wednesday

Good Morning Girls

Read Luke 10:17-24  SOAP Luke 10:19-21

It's interesting to note the finality God views our relationship to Him.  Our names are "written in heaven." (vs 20)  The Greek word "written" means to inscribe formally and solemnly.  It is used in the signing of a will, a marriage document, or a peace treaty.  That certainly makes me feel safe!  We can trust God like a child trusts mommy or daddy.  In fact, we are encouraged to become childlike in our faith, because that's what allows us to understand God's will. (vs 21)

Happiness is much more than a feeling as we have see in our soap today and only a relationship with a heavenly Father is true fulfillment. Honestly, I wonder how many really grasp the concepts that if you’re saved then you’re supposed to be happy. Why not? One reason I think for me is that I get so wrap up in earthly things that I may forget the heavenly. That I begin to set my affection on things down here of how people treat others or maybe how they me and I begin to feel a sag in my spirit. This study has had an impact on me and I can study God’s word in a smaller section and not read over it so quickly but let it absorb into my spirit as it should. My happiness comes from salvation, that I am freed from the chains of sin. Also in knowing that Jesus rejoiced when our heavenly Father had chosen to reveal the things of heaven to us. I suppose if my Savior can be happy about that then maybe I should try a little harder.
