Read Luke 11:29-36 SOAP Luke 11:29, 33-34
Faith is either present or it's not. I think the generation Jesus described in this passage is very much like our current generation. They lack faith because they say they are looking for proof or a sign. But faith is a choice. When we interpret God's Word with "healthy eyes of faith," our bodies will be "full of light." I like John MacArthur's explanation here, "The problem was their perception, not a lack of light. They did not need a sign; they needed hearts to believe the great display of divine power they had already seen."
May we have hearts of belief to see the great display of divine power we've already seen.

ReplyDeleteI think our soap today could be called “The Key ingredient for productive living” or how about “The recipe for success”. The crowds of that day came to hear what Jesus had to say but also came for the food and the miracles He performed and what did they get in return? A good lesson on moral living. You can look at it this way, what we allow to enter into us will always manifest in some form or another. It is like living a healthy lifestyle of eating and exercising, if I want good results then I have to eat the right foods and do exercises that will be most beneficial to me. I think it works the same in your spiritual life (after all your natural and spiritual life should flow as one) God’s word and a good prayer life is the best thing I can put into myself so that I will live a long and happy life in both the natural and the spiritual. I know Jesus plan is the best one for me and if I continue to follow Him then the outcome will produce good rewards for my life.
