  1. Good Morning Girls

I am reminded today that I should be thankful for all the things I receive and not to place my trust in the things of this world (l Tim 6:17-19). Jesus doesn’t ask us to live poorly just so we can be seemed to be godly. It isn’t wrong to have money, but just don’t place it above God or other’s needs, because money will pass with this world and the only true riches are in heaven. I thought of Solomon when he prayed to God and said that “he was like a little child” and needed God to show him how to be a good leader to the people (1 Kings 3:7). God indeed gave him what he ask for and much more. He became one of the wealthiest men alive at that time but soon his focus strayed off of God and onto the world and his focus became a blur. I can see the lesson here for me, to keep my eyes trained on God and trust Him for all things in my life because in the end He is the only thing that really matters.

  2. I think in this day and age this is something we all struggle with. Earthly possessions. I don't think the Lord expects us not to have anything, its just when we put those things before him. I think we all strive to work hard to do our best and have nice things but our main focus should be on a rich relationship with him and storing up heavenly treasures. Lord, help me to never lose sight of putting you first in my life above all things of this earth.

  3. Good thoughts, Lisa. We often let things distract us from what life is really about.
