Good Morning Girls
Read Luke 14:1-6 SOAP Luke 14:5-6
I think Jesus was trying to assert that these Pharisees would certainly care for one of their own animals, even on Sabbath. It struck me that we are Christ's own - He came to heal us. No matter when we need him, His grace is available to us. His purpose should become our own - reaching the needy with the gospel. God's purpose should trump anything else on my agenda today. We must be flexible to heed his calling when the opportunity arises, even if it inconveniences our tradition or routine.

ReplyDeleteWhat patience the Lord has with these people in our soap today who on a consistent basis try to find something to accuse Him of. Imagine going to work every day and knowing that person was there waiting to accuse you of something that would get old very quick. I am glad Jesus is full of mercy and He is slow to anger for there are so many times I have failed Him, and yet I always feel His sweet love and mercy pulling me back to Him. I also cannot imagine people thinking it was a horrible thing to help someone less fortunate than them. But that’s the religious, always looking to find the fault in a person and then condemn them. Lord I pray you would help me never be like, to follow and live for you as I should letting your love flow from me regardless of the attitude of the other person and allow me Lord if possible to bring others to your Kingdom.
