Week 6: Monday

Week 6

Memory Verse: But not so with you.  Rather, let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves.  Luke 22:26

Weekly Challenge: This week be intentional and thank someone who regularly serves you. Write a note to a family member, bring a surprise “Thank You” treat to that co-worker who always seems to have a helping hand and encouraging word. Give a gift card to the woman who always stays late after Sunday school to help clean up or to the friend who always seems to be there to leading a helping hand just when you need it.

Read: Luke 22:1-13

SOAP: Luke 22:5-6

Satan used Judas as a pawn to murder Jesus.  Little did Satan realize that he too was being used as a pawn.  God was bringing His plan to pass, and Satan could not stop it.  In fact, his pawn Judas simply fulfilled prophecy that the Son of Man would be betrayed.  This thought made me realize that God is sovereign.  Concerning our lives today - everything that happens to us must first pass through His hands.  We can see this clearly in the life of Job.  Satan wanted to attack Job, but he needed permission from God first.  Know that God is sovereign and always makes the final decision.

  1. Good Morning Girls

Jesus was betrayed for the price of a slave and His price was far beyond the money that the religious was willing to pay and it was the cost of His precious blood and I am just one of the many that was set free. Judas was willing to give up the time he had spent getting to know Jesus, the miracles he watched being perform all for earthly treasure. He got what he ask for and once the money was placed in his hands he despised it. Judas realized his wrong but still never repented and that’s the way sin works, once you give in to it and the realization of what you just gave up becomes so clear. I do want to live successful for Him but in all honesty I fail in my humanness in making wrong decisions, reacting to situations wrongly, judging others too quickly, holding in anger and bitterness, all these little sins will act as weights and eventually they will bring me down if allowed to stay. Lord you are worth so much more than this silver and I pray I would despise sin and cast it down and take up your cross and follow you daily.
