I love the description of the last verse in this passage. When the heart truly absorbs God's truth, it burns with acknowledgement and response. I pray that we all will allow God's Word to penetrate our lives and spirits. We must also encourage a love for God's Word in our children. Father, help me allow your Word to change my life.
It seems our soaps this week is speaking on believing and having faith in the midst of times when things are spiraling downward. I know that I need to listen when He speaks to me in whatever way He chooses and not to be such a hurry to rush through everything, I pray His word would indeed burn in my heart as it did these men. That He would not have to disappear out of my life before I seek Him. I know He would never leave me in any circumstance but I could leave Him if my focus doesn't stay clearly on Him.
