Week 6: Friday

Read Luke 22:54-71

SOAP Luke 22:70

It didn't much matter what the Sandhedrin thought of Jesus.  Whether or not they admitted the truth, Jesus was indeed the Son of God.  Jesus' phrasing makes it clear that this was not about His own admission.  This was about the lack of faith from the people.  It made me think - do we continue to ask God for proof or do we trust that He will keep His promises?  I find my heart demanding proof more often than I rest in the promises of God's Word.

  1. Good Morning Girls

Today’s soap scriptures brought up some interesting thoughts for me today, for such few words spoken made a major impact on the world. Jesus accepted what they spoke of Him for He would never deny His heavenly Father and in doing this it gave the ungodly religious of that day the evidence they need to kill Him. It’s so difficult to read of the Lord’s abuse from man, it tears at my heart to think the creation He came to die for could treat Him in such horrible ways. But you know what? They didn't take his life, He gave it freely so all could be set free, what love great love He has for the Father. I am thankful His words remain to fill my life with love and peace and to strengthen me when I get to fill beaten down.
